David Wilkins is a Qualified Social Worker and has worked primarily in the fields of child protection and with disabled children in North London. He graduated from Middlesex University in 2007 with a Master's in Social Work. David is currently undertaking a PhD in Social Work at the University of Kent and has written books on Child Abuse and Critical Analysis Skills for Social Workers. David has also written a number of book chapters and articles in a range of areas including: attachment theory and children with autism, disorganized attachment and related caregiver characteristics, direct work tools for children, ethical dilemmas in social work, analysis and decision making, effective case recording and better care planning and the analysis of risk and protective factors for children.
